Palais Royale - Brussels
The Royal Palace is the biggest and most impressive building of the Royal District, and it is the official residence of the Belgian Monarchy. A waving flag indicates that the king is in the Country. The Palace construction began around the first two decades of the XIX century, on the place where the ancient Coudenberg Palace stood . Most of the construction was completed during the reign of Leopold II, and in the XX century several adjustments were made.
The Throne Room and the Small White Room are not to be missed, where one can admire a series of royal portraits dating from the 19th century and rococo furniture of the 18th century. Not to miss is also the Room of Mirrors, with amazing illusion effects.
